Plutonik @ House of God & Subway City
Plutonik play a gig at the House of God, subway city in Birmingham. A departure for the band where Jozef Remeny is recruited on percussion and Jeremy plays Sax. 2 Drummers played over House records B4 the rest of the band joined in. Plutonik then played a number of their trax totally live with Chaz playing Double Bass to a crammed slamming audience.
Chrissie Solo Gig
Chrissy Van Dyke will be performing a solo gig at Ronnie Scott’s in Birmingham on Sunday November 5th. This is a one off appearance by Chrissy who will be doing a Jazz and Blues review as well as many self penned acoustic songs, some of which are past and future Plutonik tracks. Look out for a sample of second album tracks in their raw form, a capella numbers with the help of Carina Round and Jo Hamilton amongst others, and a few other surprises. Tickets are available on the door for £5 – more information is available from Ronnie’s on 0121 643 4525.
Summer Festival
Ok so there’s been no news over the summer – well none that have made it to this web page. The band performed at an up and coming Cambridge festival called Shingay-la, supporting other bands and DJs from the whole musical spectrum.
Future gigs include a possible performance at Wolverhampton’s Canal Club in October and the House of God Club, Subway City, Birmingham Friday 24th November. More details to follow.
New material is nearly finished demo’s will be online shortly
Working on next album
The band will concentrate on writing and recording new material now, and several tracks have already been submitted and accepted for the second album, everything from house to hip-hop is on the forthcoming agenda, including new co-writes with Chrissy and Nick. Nick (aka Tribestar) is also producing his own blend of dark dancefloor d’n’b! – Coming your way soon.

Great Bar Rumba Gig
The packed Bar Rumba audience (April 27th) were treated to something a little different on Thursday night as Plutonik performed a live P.A alongside DJs Brian Gee,Ray Keith and Bad Company. Plutonik presented a chilled set featuring Mick Ball on trumpet to deliver the soul before the DJs dug in deep for a night of dark drum ‘n’ bass.
Ronnie Scotts – A huge success
Ronnie Scotts was a success with a crammed audience. Sorry to those people who were turned away. Special thanks to Mick Ball (Phaze Action, JTQ, James Hardway) on trumpet and Jozef Remeny (Sabri) on tabla, who also appeared on stage.

Plutonik on Channel 4 – Drum Beay
Well the second album is coming together smoothly (more details when its finished). Look out for Plutonik on the TV show, Drum Beat, it goes out on Monday nights at 11.30pm on Carlton and should be screened in April.
